Event Details

For members who have completed Intermediate Skills Training, are in an ongoing SCT training group and in active consultation with an SCT Licensed Practitioner, and have attended a SAVI Introductory Workshop.

Two opportunities to join:

• York UK - Sept 13 to 18 led by Annie MacIver with Patricia Aerts [see SCTUK York Training Week for details & registration]
• Philadelphia US - October 20 to 25 led by Annie MacIver - details below:

A 5.5-day intensive training that:
• Builds on and reinforces the learning from the Intermediate Skills Training with further theoretical discussion, skill building, videotaped practicum sessions and force field review.
• Enhances the capacity to contextualise, understand what it means to develop a “Systems-Centered learning organisation,” orient to different contexts within the organisation, relate to the goal of the context, and take up one’s functional role.
• Highlights the understanding of the Person-as-a-System map and the shift in experience from Person to Member, Member to Leader and identifying both driving and restraining forces in Contextualizing.
• Continues to develop mastery of the SCT protocols in the Foundation Manual.
• Begins the process of assessing readiness to join the next Authority Issue Group.
• Includes a 30-minute consultation with trainer, post training, to explore leading edges and next steps in SCT training.

Presenters

Annie MacIver MA, BA, CQSW annie.maciver2@icloud.com
Annie MacIver is a Licensed Systems-Centered practitioner, has an MA in Consultation and the Organisation from UEL and the Tavistock Institute and is a qualified social worker. She has worked primarily within local government contexts, latterly as Director of Children’s Services. Annie has a particular interest in child protection work and adoption and fostering; she is specifically interested in developing interventions and building workforce skills to address the impact of developmental trauma on children and carers. Working in senior leadership roles over the last 20 years in large organisations has enabled Annie to develop a deep understanding of the challenges of delivering services and outcomes in contexts which are under significant pressure and stress. Applying SCT she has built effective teams and partnerships enabling them to deliver high quality outcomes. Through coaching and mentoring she has built the confidence and resilience of individuals and teams thereby releasing their energy and creativity to find solutions and meet the system goals.
