This 2-part workshop is open to those who want to learn more about starting and running SCT therapy groups.
Led by Susan Beren and Norma Safransky
In part 1, March 20, we will explore the ins and outs of running SCT therapy groups. As leaders, we will discuss our own experiences in our practices of getting groups started and keeping them going - including our own individual struggles running groups, how we get through them and why we continue to run groups in the face of those struggles. We will invite participants' experiences and explore driving and restraining forces to starting and running therapy groups.
In part 2, March 27, we will listen to a recording from one of the leader's SCT therapy groups. Our goal will be to explore the driving and restraining forces of leadership interventions and to get a sense of how SCT therapy groups are run (and how they are similar to and different from SCT training groups). We will do a force field of leadership interventions, with the goal of exploring different types of SCT interventions and how, if and when they do (and don't) work.
Sessions will not be recorded. You may attend one or both sessions
