We will use a Theory of Living Human Systems and Systems-Centered methods and techniques to create a context to explore systemic racism and to see what we discover when we look at institutional racism from theory. We will explore how this perspective may be useful in weakening systemic racism whilst developing and transforming human systems at all the system levels.

Exploring how our larger system environmental context and its norms contribute to or emerge from racism will make it possible to see how these norms influence all of our experiences and institutions including our own community. Using our theory to inform our thinking and experience, we will explore the issues nested in institutional racism with the goal of greater understanding of the driving and restraining forces that have maintained the status quo and which restraining forces could have the most impact if weakened.
