About Swarthmore
The Conference is being held at Swarthmore College, just 10 miles from the Philadelphia Airport and an easy train ride to Philadelphia’s restaurants and attractions. Swarthmore’s 425-acre arboretum campus has rolling lawns, flowering trees, a stunning rose garden and wooded creekside trails. The town of Swarthmore features a co-op grocery store with plenty of fresh and prepared organic foods, as well as a handful of restaurants and shops. Additional restaurants and shopping can be found in the nearby Springfield Mall (about a 20-minute walk from campus), or in nearby Media (accessible by car or train).

Dormitory rooms in the Danawell Residence Hall
All our dorm rooms will be located in one building on the Swarthmore campus. All bathrooms and shower facilities are communal (shared) with private toilet stalls and each shower has a curtain. The bathrooms will be designated either male or female and each person will select the facility appropriate for them.
All rooms can accommodate either one or two people, however the fee is the same at $75 per person per night. All beds are extra-long and include a top and bottom sheet, a pillow and pillowcase, a blanket and a towel.
Danawell is a newer residence hall that opened in 2016. Danawell features an elevator making it accessible for people with disabilities as well as a lounge on each floor with a view of the Crum woods. The "Danawell" complex shares a joint lounge and features a modern kitchen and attached patio. The kitchen does not include pots and pans, utensils, plates or cups.
If you are interested in staying in the dorms, please indicate this when you register and we will send you information.
